A special drive has been undertaken from 15 December 2012 to 30 June 2013 for completing deemed conveyance of cooperative housing societies in Maharashtra
Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has set up a co-ordination committee under the district collector to assist the district deputy registrar and cooperative housing societies (CHS) in resolving pending cases of deemed conveyance, reports PTI.
A special drive has been undertaken from 15 December 2012 to 30 June 2013 for completing deemed conveyance of housing societies in the entire state.
Apart from the Collector, the Committee will comprise the district deputy registrar, joint registrar and collector of stamps, suprintendent of land records, district information officer, Municipal Commissioner and CEO of the municipal council.
Such committees will be set up in each of the 35 districts. The district collector will convene meeting of the co-ordination committee every month. Review of the applications for deemed conveyance, cases resolved and those pending will be taken.
The co-ordination committee will also devote time for redressal of grievances and complaints. The report of the committee meeting every month will be forwarded to housing, forest, co-operation departments.
